Too much?
I was skimming through some of the blogposts on the discovery page on here, and I realized; Am I over preforming?
A post just had the words “Over Engineering” in its title, and that got me thinking. I wanted to design my blog just like how I see some awesome Neocities being designed, but… I am on Bearblog. Not Neocities. This made me also remember a drawing I made two days back— my reference was extremely simple, yet I added so many details. I think it’s not an inherently shameful thing to add more and more; If you yearn for decor, then go all maximalist. But in cases like that drawing, where I planned on being simple, Is it really so forgivable?
Am I acting like making your drawing look more complicated is a sin? Not intentionally. In short, I mean; It’s easy to get blindsided by details when that was never the point. And I think I learnt something today.
It’s okay to be simple sometimes. You aren’t an actor. It’s okay!
