You boot up your three year laptop, excited to watch youtube on your second monitor while you procrastinate on [TASK]. As you do so, you notice a notification from your old Gmail. Clicking on it gives you the lovely message: “Someone is buying stuff on your account!”
What? I haven’t been using [GAMING PLATFORM] in quite a while… How is this happening?! Going to the website, you see [GAME CURRENCY] go up by 4,000. Ohhh no. You got hacked.
Finding out that I had my bank card tied to my account, I quickly deleted it— after changing my password… and saving it to my browser.
. . . Oh no. Did this hacker find out my password via Google Passwords!?
So yeah, I am making this post to spread a little PSA to anyone browsing the Bearblog discover page, Never save your passwords yo your browser. This is what happened to me, and it can happen to you. I’m going to be writing all my passwords down (pen and paper, baby!) And you should, too!
Thanks for reading~ Take care!
